Sorry to hear that Trevor has packed in the treasurers job don’t know why. Perhaps we can talk him into carrying on, he’s done the job since the Duchess Association was formed and we haven’t had the subs raised once.
Ed Bonnick is on the mend I had a word with him on the 7/3/06 and he reckons he is fine and fit for anything. Dawn a word in one ear he was asking about suppliers of Viagra whatever that is. Gordon Phipps went into hospital today (8/3/06) for op to improve circulation in his legs. We wish him a quick and speedy recovery.
The Ban-Yan to Ibiza is the 5th to 12th May this year.
Sue Phillips did all the leg work in organising the trip in spite of all the trials and tribulations Direct Travel put her way. Must have cost her a fortune phoning every one never mind the time she spent keeping everyone in touch.
The Reunion & AGM weekend is as everyone should know by now is in the matelot friendly town of Bournemouth (you know the place where dogs and sailors had to keep off the grass, I was a stoker so it didn’t apply to me).
The hotel is the Savoy it’s a Shearings hotel so you will need a reference code which is as follows:-
CW BOU. Add R2 for two nights / R3 for three nights etc. Don’t forget anything you want to be brought up at AGM please get in touch with the committee members in plenty of time.
